Combine flour, sugars, baking powder, and salt in medium mixing bowl. In a separate bowl combine milk, oil, egg, and extract. Add liquid ingredients to dry ingredients stirring just until moist. Stir in cranberries and nuts. Put into muffin pan. Sprinkle tops with sugar.Bake 350° about 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 5 minutes in pan; remove to wire rack to cool. Makes 12 muffins
