Click here for a printable version of this recipe

1 cut up frying chicken
1 cup all purpose flour
3 tablespoons margarine
1 large onion, chopped
1 large green bell pepper, chopped
1 14oz can diced tomatoes
1 cup boiling water
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
Flour chicken and saute in melted margarine until golden brown on all sides. Remove from pan. Add onion and bell pepper to skillet,
cook stirring constantly about 5 minutes. Add tomatoes, water, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings, simmer 5 minutes. Return
chicken to pan, cover and let simmer one hour and fifteen minutes.

You can thicken sauce with cornstarch if a thicker gravy is desired.

I serve this over rice.
