| | Slash fat edge of ham at 2-inch intervals. Preheat electric skillet to about 360 degrees. Brown ham slowly on one side, in small amount of hot fat. Turn ham; overlap pineapple slices on top of ham. Sprinkle squash with salt and arrange on either side of ham. Combine 1/4 cup pineapple syrup, the pineapple preserves, and candied ginger; drizzle over ham, pineapple, and squash. Cover skillet; simmer at about 250 degrees for 30 minutes or until squash is tender, spooning sauce over squash now and then, and adding remaining pineapple syrup if needed.
