Stuffed Pepper Casserole

1 lb. ground meat/bulk sausage
2 green peppers cut into strips
2 cups water
1 cup uncooked white rice
26 oz. spaghetti sauce
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Brown meat in pan with peppers, set aside.

Meanwhile, bring water to a boil. Add rice, lower heat & cover. Simmer for about 20 minutes or until water has been absorbed.

Stir rice into ground meat mixture. Add spaghetti sauce and 1/2 cup grated cheese. Stir well.

Spoon mixture into greased casserole dish. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup grated cheese. Cover and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove lid and cook for additional 5 minutes.
