Lola's Cheesy Joe's

Click here for a printable version of this recipe

When in a rush and frozen hamburger is what you're using for supper, try this--it's fast and my family likes it a lot (better than sloppy joe's "regular".)

1 lb. hamburger (or whatever you need for your family)
salt and pepper to taste
onion, pepper chopped
garlic
sour cream (optional)
Velveeta, cubed (to taste)
milk (1 cup or less)

I just play this by ear. Microwave frozen hamburger (if needed) until thawed. Brown with chopped onion and pepper, add garlic. When brown add sour cream if desired and Velveeta. This will be too thick, especially if you don't use sour cream. Add milk until consistency to spread on bread. Simmer a minute or two to make sure all is melted together. This makes a great sandwich spread quick.
