| Cream sugar and butter. Add the ground almonds. Add the slightly beaten egg. Add flour one cup at a time but do not exceed 4 cups. If you use all purpose flour it's usually closer to the 3 cups and if cake and pastry flour closer to 4 cups. Mix ingredients until your hands are clean of the dough. Refrigerate until dough has hardened and easy to work with. Take approximately 1 tablespoon of dough roll out into a small snake and shape into a crescent. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven until golden (approximately 10 - 15 minutes depending on you oven) Let cool and enjoy! Note: There are various variations after you bake these cookies!
