| Mix in heavy pan: 1 c. white sugar Dash of salt 5 tbsp. flour Gradually add: 1 c. milk | | | Cook, stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil and is thick. Remove from heat, add 1 stick margarine, stirring until melted. (Optional: also add 1 (3 oz.) package cream cheese.) Cool slightly and pour over cake. Sprinkle chopped nuts before the frosting sets up. Freezes well. |
