1 C. (6 oz) semi sweet chocolate chips 1 (14 oz) can eagle brand sweetened condensed milk (NOT evaporated milk) dash salt 1/2 t. peppermint extract 3/4 C. crushed hard peppermint candy Line 8x8x2 inch pan with foil, extending foil over edges of pan. butter foil; set aside. In a saucepan over low heat melt chips with sweet milk & salt. Remove from heat; stir in extract. Spread evenly into prepared pan. sprinkle with candy. Chill 2 hours or until firm. Turn fudge onto cutting board; peel off foil & cut into squares. Stored covered in refrigerator. Makes about 2 pounds |
