2 c. yellow cornmeal 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 c. all-purpose flour 1 egg, beaten 2 tbsp. sugar 3/4 c. milk 2 tsp. salt 3/4 c. cream-style corn 1 tsp. salt Cooking oil for frying | | | In a bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder salt and baking soda. Add egg, milk and corn; stir just until mixed. In a deep-fat fryer, heat oil to 375'. Drop batter by teaspoons into oil. Fry until golden brown. Serve immediately with fried chicken, ham or fish.
