bake or boil yams until fork tender, then mash with butter and cream. Put in an oven-proof dish and cover with a sparse layer of mini marshmallows. (they will melt and spread some) Place under the broiler (top rack of oven) until the marshmallows are soft and browned. They burn easily, so watch carefully - about 5 minutes. We have this at Thanksgiving. It is a great easy way to dress up the yams and it's great with the kids!!
