1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour 3/4 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 3/4 cup butter, softened 3/4 cup packed brown sugar 1/3 cup white sugar 1 egg 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips (I always add stuff until it is the right consistency- even if it means only using half of the desired ingredient.) Directions 1 Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). 2 Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside. 3 In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg and vanilla. Gradually stir in the sifted ingredients, then stir in the chocolate chips. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. 4 Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. If it's to dry- when you're mixing (which it sometimes is) add a little milk, or water or vanilla. Sometimes I, to give it some spice slip in some cake flavoring or almond extract) LOL enjoy! |
