1/3 cup margarine or butter--softened, 1/2 cup packed brown sugar, 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup chopped walnuts, 1 8 ounce package cream cheese--softened, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 2 teaspoons milk, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, 1 egg | | | Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 8 x 8 x 2 inch square pan. Beat margarine and brown sugar until fluffy. Mix in flour and walnuts until crumbly; reserve 1 cup. Press remaining crumbly mixture into pan. Bake 12 minutes. Mix cream cheese and granulated sugar; beat in remaining ingredients until smooth. Spread cream cheese mixture over crust; sprinkle with reserved crumbly mixture. Bake until center is firm, about 25 minutes. Cool. Cut into 1 1/2 inch squares. Sote cookies in refrigerator. |
