1 cup packed brown sugar, 1/2 cup margarine or butter--softened, 1/4 cup shortening, 2 cups granols, 1 3/4 cups flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 12 ounce jar plum preserves | | | Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix brown sugar, margarine and shortening. Stir in granola, flour and salt. Press half of mixture into greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Spread with preserves; top with remaining granola mixture, pressing lighly. Bake until light brown, 25 to 30 minutes. Cut into 2 x 1 inch bars while warm. |
