1 cup sugar, 1 cup margarine or butter--softened, 1 egg--separated, 2 cups flour, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1 tablespoon water, 1/2 cup very finely chopped walnuts | | | Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix sugar, margarine and egg yolk. Stir in flour and cinnamon. Press into lightly greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch jelly roll pan. Beat egg white and water until foamy; brush over dough. Sprinkle with walnuts. Bake 20 to 25 minutes until very light brown. Immediately cut into 3 x 1 inch strips. |
