1 1/4 cups Quaker Oats, 1/2 cup margarine--melted, 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 egg, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1/3 cup flour, 1/2 cup chopped walnuts | | | Heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 8-inch square pan with vegetable oil cooking spray or oil lightly. Place oats in blender or food processor; cover. Blend about 1 minute stopping occasionally to stir; set aside. Combine margarine and cocoa. Add sugar, egg and vanilla; mix well. Stir in oat flour and remaining ingredients; pour into prepared pan. Bake 15 minutes for chewy brownies or 17 minutes for more cakelike brownies. Cool completely, cut into 2-inch squares. |
