1 pound lean beef, 1 small bunch celery, 1 medium onion, 4 tablespoons oil, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric, 1 lemon | | | Chop onion. Chop beef into 1/2 inch cubes. Fry onion in oil until golden, add pepper and turmeric. Add meat and continue frying until meat is brown. Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes. Wash celery and chop into 1/2 inch pieces; add to meat. Stir. Cook 30 minutes or until meat is tender. Serve with rice and lemon juice. About 4 servings. |
