2 1/4 cups all purpose flour, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar, 1 1/2 cups butter--softened, 2 tablespoons instant coffee, 1 tablespoon boiling water, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1 egg, 1 12 ounce package semi-sweet chocolate morsels 1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped walnuts | | | Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside. In large bowl, combine brown sugar and butter; beat until creamy. In small measuring cup disolve coffee in boiling water. Add coffee mixture and vanilla to butter and sugar mixture. Add egg; beat well. Blend in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate morsels and walnuts. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Dake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes. Allow to stand for 3 minutes after removal from oven before removing from cookie sheets. Cool completely. Yield: abiout 4 dozen 3 1/4 inch cookies. |
