1 package dry onion soup mix, 1 1/4 cups water, 2 8 ounce cans tomato sauce, 1 pound ground beef, 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt, 1/2 teaspoon thyme, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, 1 tablespoon chopped parsley, 1 pound noodles, spaghetti, rice or potatoes--cooked | | | In deep, thick saucepan, quickly bring to boil onion soup miz, water and 1 1/2 cans tomato sauce. Simmer, covered, for 10 minutes. Mix ground beef, seasonings, parsley and remaining tomato sauce. Shape into 16 meat balls and place them in sauce. Simmer gently, uncovered, for 25 minutes, turning occasionlly. Serve over noodles, spaghetti, etc. 4 servings. |
