1 1/3 cups flour,
1 teaspoon baking soda,
1/2 teaspoon salt,
1/2 cup sugar,
1/2 cup brown sugar,
1/2 cup shortening,
1/2 cup peanut butter,
1 egg,
2 tablespoons milk,
1 teaspoon vanilla,
about 48 chocolate candy kisses | | | Combine all ingredients except candy in large mixer bowl. Mix on low speed until dough forms. Shape into balls using a teaspoonful each. Roll balls in sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 375 degrees. Top each cookie with a candy kiss; press down firmly so cookie crushes around edges. (it is best to unwrap candies before cookies are done baking) Makes 48 cookies. |
